Valentine 3 (Sonnet #358)

Valentine 3 (Sonnet #358)

Let my words live to touch your tender soul.
Can I e’en say I was alive before
Our lips did kiss or eyes behold the store
Beauty reserves within your heart’s sweet folds?
I never knew such trusting love; pure gold
Holds no value even close to the worth
We know when hearts speak without words, new birth
New hope, new life, new joy, highlights in bold.
We sens’d the very moment that we met
Life would not go on unchanged, we chose
Embracing bonds be eternally set,
And long parch’d earth devoid of life arose
In flooding renaissance, sweet rivulets;
Today, our deserts blossom as the rose.
